the Bobkatz have enjoyed six very successful years in the
Country Music business so far completing three albums & twelve CMC music video film clips.
Maintaining their consistency of 'real songs”, strong use of
harmonies and that out on the veranda organic country sound, the Bobkatz have built a steady and faithful following of “story song fans”.
The “Sweetwater” album was released in 2006 and the follow up
“The Writer” in January 2008. The current album “Coals” was released on Dec 2010. A best of The Bobkatz album including all 12 music video's is scheduled for release in November.
the Bobkatz have enjoyed widespread Australian radio airplay with seven singles making the National Top 30 Singles Charts, four of these making the top ten, and the title track from the Coals album,
“In the Coals”reaching No 1 spot for four weeks. The Bobkatz music videos receive widespread national airplay on The Country Music Channel (CMC) & the boys have also made and a documentary of the making of the Coals album will be screened on CMC in 2011 & 2012.
2010 saw the Bobkatz receive their first Golden Guitar nomination for best Group/Duo as well as win the Tamworth Songwriters Association Best Country Song 2010 & Best Contemporary song 2010 with the song .. "The Writer”. The Bobkatz are nominated for the best
Group or Duo Mildura country music Awards 2011.
